We all know men who do workouts regularly. And many men have a misconception that yoga is only for women. But that is not true. Yoga is for both men and women. There are certain asanas specifically designed for men and women.

Now, let us talk about yoga for men. Yoga is beneficial for men in many ways. Practicing yoga for a couple of days a week increases endurance, and it also builds strength, prevents injuries, and from heart diseases.
You are a Man, and you are interested in building your strength and endurance, follow the steps below and start practicing yoga. Below are the beginner poses in yoga for men.
1. FORWARD FOLD
Benefits:
- Warm-up for workout
- Lowers the blood pressure
- Relaxes head, neck, and shoulders
Steps:
- Stand straight with feet apart
- Bend forward at the hips, lower the torso towards the ground
- Bend your knees generously to grab your ankles
- Breathe deeply
- Relax your head, neck, shoulders, and torso
- Hold on for a minute and go back to the standing position
2. DOWNWARD FACING DOG
Benefits:
- Releases pain in the hamstrings and hips
- Builds upper body strength
- Stretches feet, shoulders, hamstrings, and calves
Steps:
- Spread your feet and knees apart
- Position your hands and spread your fingers wide
- Press your fingers on the ground, lift your knees off the floor and straighten your legs
- Move your hand forward, and feet backward for a few inches for more stretch
- Press your heels towards the floor
- Breathe deeply
- Hold for three minutes, and go back to the standing position. Repeat twice.
3. CHAIR
Benefits:
- Stretches shoulders and chest
- Strengthens thigs, calves, spine, and ankles
- Torches the abdominal fat
Steps:
- Stand straight with your toes touching
- Inhale and raise your arms to the ceiling with palms facing each other
- Drop your shoulders down while lengthening up through the neck
- Exhale, and bend your knees down as you would sit in a chair
- Hold for 30 seconds. Back to normal position then repeat
4. CRESCENT LUNGE
Benefits:
- Strengthens arms and legs
- Loosens the tight hips by stretching
Steps:
- Start on your hands and knees
- Step your right foot between your hands
- Keep your right knee about your heel
- Inhale and lift your back knee to the floor
- Press your heel towards the wall behind you
- Keep your spine long as you hold and breathe
- Let your hips fall forward
- Hold for a minute
- Repeat each side twice
5. BRIDGE
Benefits:
- Stretches chest, neck, spine, and hips
- Opens the chest
- Releases tight muscles
- Helps in relieving upper respiratory issues
Steps:
- Lie on your back and bend your knees
- Place your feet flat on the floor
- Place your hands alongside your body, palms down
- Inhale and lift your hips and press them to the ceiling
- Keeps your knees directly to your heels
- Hold for 45 seconds
- Exhale and lower your hips
- Repeat three times
